Today, the kids and I joined a couple friends for a day at the Planetarium. We saw the shows “Dark Matter” and “Aurorae”. Since Neil deGrasse Tyson narrated the “Dark Matter” show (as well as the series “Cosmos”, which we watched), I’m pretty sure my kids are going to think of his voice anytime we talk about space.
1. Zahra and Sienna waiting for the “Aurorae” show to start.
2. Noah looking for water on Mars.
The shows were well done, and we enjoyed another dip into all the educational experiences the city has to offer.
When we got home, the kids were exhausted and retreated to do their own thing while I made dinner. Zahra took a stab at writing a letter but nearly fell asleep at the table. Leila helped me “make dinner”, i.e. microwave leftovers. And Noah went back to…parachutes. This time, he made a small parachute for his Playmobil guy. Do I smell another project coming along? We’ll just have to wait and see.
